About Us
The Needham Concert Society presents world-class ensembles and soloists from the Boston area and beyond, including members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and faculty from leading music schools. The concert society was founded in 1976 by Needham resident William Gibson (1916-2002), retired principal trombone of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He strove to present excellent live performances to Needham audiences. The society was incorporated in 1985 as a nonprofit.
